A car is an asset of an individual. A car can bring anyone to any place at any time of the day. That is indeed a gift a car can give to its owner. On the other hand, what if the car you own needs repair? Will you bring it to a repair shop and spend a lot of money? If that would be the scenario, is your car still an asset? Flat Tire

  1. Look for a safe place to where you will change the tire.
  2. Make sure that your car will not roll.
  3. Get your spare tire and a jack.
  4. Lift the jack so that it supports the car.
  5. Turn the nuts counterclockwise.
  6. Lift the tire by pumping the jack.
  7. Unplug the nuts and the tire.
  8. Install your spare tire.
  9. Remove the jack after lowering the car.
  10. Take your old tire to a mechanic.

Problems with rotors and front brake

  1. Determine the components of a disc brake.
  2. Replace brake pads by removing the brake caliper.
  3. Detach the brake caliper (front).
  4. Remove the front brake pads, caliper, and brake rotor.
  5. Replace old rotor and brake pads.
  6. Return the brake caliper (front).
  7. Test drive.

Hole in gas tank

  1. Clean the gas tank. Remove remaining gas and other residue.
  2. Dispose of the gas the residue from the tank.
  3. Shake the tank to remove other components. Repeat this three times.
  4. Pour liquid thinner. Dip the tank. Let it dry.
  5. Use masking tape to seal holes.
  6. Combine the sealers. Do it for two more minutes. Pour the mixture into the gas tank.
  7. Seal filler hole through the use of a rubber band and a plastic wrap. Make sure that the sealer coats the tank inside.
  8. Remove plastic wrap. Remove sealer. Drain the tank.
  9. Let the tank dry.

Blown out fuse

  1. Turn off your car.
  2. Observe your dashboard. Look for the fuse box. A fuse box is a small plastic box. You may open it without the use of any tool.
  3. There is another fuse in the engine section. This is the second fuse box. Choose from which of the two needs replacement.
  4. Look for the cover of the fuse box. It contains information about the fuse.
  5. Look for the worn out fuse. It is like a burned out bulb in your house. The fuse is blackened.
  6. Remove the fuse using your thumb and forefinger. You may also use a small screwdriver. If your car has a fuse remover, you may use it.
  7. Take the fuse to an auto shop. Buy an identical substitute.
  8. Install the new fuse. Use your thumb to do this.
  9. Turn on the car and see if the features like the fan, and the interior lights are performing.
  10. Return the cover of the fuse box.

With these practical ways, you do not need to spend much for the maintenance of your car.
