Optimize Your Title, Description and Keywords Meta Tags
What are the meta tags? Meta tags are HTML code inserted into the head of a web page. Title tag is the first, most important meta tag; it determines what appears at the top of your internet browser, and also appears bolded in search engine results. So, the title tag is the number one meta tag to appear in search engine results pages. The meta description tag is the brief summary of your web page; it appears below the title in the search engine result. So it is very important to include your main keywords in the meta title and description tag.
The first step of search engine optimization is optimizing the meta tags. The first and the most important tag is the meta title tag, the code should be something like this: <title>your title here </title>, below the <head> tags.
The second tag is the meta description tag, and the code should be something like this: <meta name="description" content="your description here ">.
The third one is the meta keywords tag, and its code should be something like this: <meta name="keywords" content="keyword1,keyword2, keyword3 ">.

- Optimize the meta description tag. For the key phrase "unique father gifts", you should write a short description of what the visitors will find in your website. It should be something like this:
<meta name="description" content="Discover unique gift ideas for your father, compare products and prices ">
You should include your main targeted keywords from the title tag.
- Optimize the meta keywords tag. The keywords tag is a less important meta tag than the meta title and description tags, but there are search engines that still pay some attention to it. Besides, it is easy to optimize the keywords tag for a key phrase "unique father gifts". It would be something like this:
<meta name="keywords" content="unique, father, gifts">
You should include your main targeted keywords from the meta description tag.
