How To Sell Faster on eBay

eBay is a great way to make a little extra cash when you have a large expense coming up or if you are one of those people that have been holding onto your vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lunchbox from the early 1980's. No matter why you are trying to make the extra cash, eBay is a great place to post up your items and get them out of your garage or spare bedroom. Here are some tips to help you sell faster on eBay.

When putting up posts, go for a quick sale. The shorter that you post it for, the more likely that someone is going to bid on and buy your item than from someone else. The shorter your sale is, the less likely that someone will have time to find it somewhere else. However, on the other hand, if you have a longer sale, it is more likely that you will get more bidders if it is a hot item. Keep in mind that just because you have several watchers doesn't guarantee that you will have more bidders. Watchers are only looking at the item with no commitment to buy, so don't use a longer sale in hopes of attracting watchers when you really want bidders.

If you have a "buy it now" button instead of making people wait for the end of the auction, you are more likely to sell your items faster. Keep in mind that not only does it cost more to add a "buy it now" button and that you can't add one unless you have a high enough rating on your eBay account. Allowing people to buy it now will save them from having to keep looking for things that they could possibly find cheaper, or for more money. Try to keep your buy it now price somewhere between the highest and lowest prices that you find on eBay. This ensures that you are right in the middle so that you aren't underselling yourself but at the same time you aren't being greedy as well. People will see this.

Put in your posts that you give shipping discounts for multiple items purchased. Even if someone isn't looking at that particular item, it will be likely that they will go and look at what else that you are selling if for nothing more than to receive the discount. In most cases, people will purchase more than one item from someone they are already buying from rather than someone else. This saves them a little on the price of shipping but it also ensures that they will be getting their package quicker.

Allow multiple types of shipping. The quicker that someone can receive their items the more likely they will buy from you. This is especially so when you are selling things like car parts, and books. People want them as quickly as possible for their school or business use.
