How To Get a High School Equivalency (GED) Degree

If you didn't complete your high school education the first time around, there's still a chance for you to earn an equivalent diploma known as a GED, or General Educational Development. In order to get a GED, you must pass a series of five standardized tests (Social Studies, Science, Math, Language Arts - Reading, and Language Arts - Writing) containing questions and problems that graduating high school seniors would theoretically be able to answer or solve. To be eligible to take the GED tests, you must not currently be enrolled in high school, must never have graduated from high school, and must be at least 18 years old (16 in some states). Here are some more tips about how to get a GED.

How To Analyze Handwriting

Handwriting analysis, or 'graphology', is based on analyzing the way the writer creates words and sentences through the physical action used to do so. Here are a handful of simple and basic principles that can provide intriguing insights to those around you.

It can help you better understand your partner, business colleagues, competitors, celebrities, family members, friends, yourself, and everyone else.

It can reveal aspirations, creativity, energy, fears, inhibitions, potential, sexual stability, strengths, weaknesses and much more. But it cannot accurately reveal a person’s age, future (other than potential), gender, left- or right-handedness, race, religion or sexual orientation.

How To Become a Police Officer

Police officers are essential to a safe society, but the job can be dangerous and stressful. Police officers are often extremely dedicated individuals who have a strong sense of duty. Becoming a police officer is not always easy, but is a goal that can be accomplished with some hard work and careful planning.

Get a high school education. In order to become a police officer, a person needs a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Get some higher education. Although usually not required, getting an associate's degree (2-year degree) or a bachelor's degree (4-year degree) is recommended and can help you out in the competitive application process. Criminal justice courses are especially helpful.

Maintain physical fitness. Playing organized sports can help you keep in shape, as well as look good on your application to a police academy.
How To Build a Winning CV that Positions your Personal Brand Powerfully

The words "Curriculum Vitae" translated literally mean "the story of your life." Your CV is a very important document: With it rest your hopes and dreams for the future, that next step up the career ladder, a better position, more money, new challenges, etc. Therefore, if you do not want to miss out on that ‘dream opportunity,’ your CV has to represent the best you can offer. Writing a CV that has the potential to be short-listed and/or make a positive impact is a skill and requires expertise. Many brilliant professionals and top brains haven’t been able to make it to the top or get the desired results in their careers only because they couldn’t position their talents, skills, knowledge and experience positively.

How To Build a Strong Support System

The people who surround you--your support system--will determine how well you will build and maintain the self-confidence necessary for success. Why? They are the ones that are feeding your mind on a regular basis. Having self-confidence that will never fail is a manifestation of a strong mind. Anything we want to be strong in the future needs to be fed well in the present. An Olympic athlete that dines on milkshakes and candy bars will be a former Olympic athlete in no time. A delicate flower that dines on Coca-Cola and darkness rather than water and sunlight will be a dead flower eventually. The car that has sugar in its gas tank rather than premium petrol will not go. By the same token, your mind needs to be fed well to become a strong, confident mind. So, how do you build a strong support system that will help you become successful?

How To Negotiate an Internship Offer

While internships are often served on a voluntary basis without pay, many students need or want to find a paying internship. Of course, a paid internship is a very coveted position, and the competition for this opportunity is extremely high. Considering those two facts, however, how can you negotiate an internship offer? How much is too much, and how far are you willing to go as far as negotiating terms?
