How To Become a Flight Attendant

If you want to travel for a living, you should consider becoming a flight attendant. Flight attendants make sure that airline safety regulations are followed during the flight, and they also serve the passengers.

Meet the necessary experience. Many positions today require at least a two-year college degree and around 2 years of customer service experience. Plan to attend college after high school, and apply for customer service positions while in school, if your goal is to become a flight attendant. Some international airlines also require knowledge of at least one foreign language; if possible, take care of this requirement while you’re still in school.

How To Learn Italian

Speaking Italian will seem very difficult if you are just starting out, but if you keep at it you will soon see results, and speaking Italian can be a valuable skill. You may have Italian relatives or business partners, wish to travel to Italy, or wish to learn for your own enjoyment. Learning Italian can be made easier, if you follow these four simple steps below. Of course, the best way to learn is to combine these basic steps with a language learning program.
How To Start Your Own Homeschool Group

The education of children within the home setting, or homeschooling, is becoming increasingly more popular. When my husband and I made the decision to home-school our children back in 1993, there were probably only one tenth the number of homeschooling families. In fact when I was hospitalized with the birth of our fourth child, the nurses kept peeking into my room, saying that they had to see what a home-schooling mom looked like.

When we decided to home-school, we also felt we needed a support network. We weren't so much looking for like-minded people as much as we wanted healthy group dynamics for our children to explore social relationships and for myself to receive and later provide some mentoring and companionship. If you wish to begin a homeschooling community, there are some basic considerations and steps to take.

How To Get Grant Money for a School Gardening Project

Science in our school curriculum has often focused too much on paperwork and too little on real applications. Life science and biology in particular are subjects that have so much potential for hands-on activities and experiments. Gardening and plant care is an ideal venue to explore your biology or life science classes or curriculum. If you'd like to begin a gardening project in your classroom, there is grant money available to support your endeavors. Here are some areas to explore for grant funding.

How To Start Off Well at Your New Job

Being a rookie is never easy. And when it’s on the job, it’s not like school, where a shrug or a non-response is an acceptable excuse for mistakes. This is real life!

So, it’s your first time on the job. What do you do? Think! Yes, and think hard! Because what you exude will make or break you.

This is where the adage--First impressions last--holds true. Thus, it is crucial to carefully choose your words, gestures and even choice of conversation topics. So, what are the right steps to becoming the best and not the beast rookie?

Here are a few points:

How To Analyze Handwriting

Handwriting analysis, or 'graphology', is based on analyzing the way the writer creates words and sentences through the physical action used to do so. Here are a handful of simple and basic principles that can provide intriguing insights to those around you.

It can help you better understand your partner, business colleagues, competitors, celebrities, family members, friends, yourself, and everyone else.

It can reveal aspirations, creativity, energy, fears, inhibitions, potential, sexual stability, strengths, weaknesses and much more. But it cannot accurately reveal a person’s age, future (other than potential), gender, left- or right-handedness, race, religion or sexual orientation.

How To Apply a Journalism Major

If you are working toward your degree in journalism, it may have occurred to you that there is no better time than the present to consider the many ways you can utilize that major to carve out your own career. Here are a few suggestions to help you begin thinking about how to apply your journalism major in such a way that you can live the life you want.

Of course, one of the most obvious ways to apply your major is to affiliate with a print entity, such as a metropolitan newspaper or magazine. More often, however, you need some clips to your credit in order to get your foot in the door at places like this. Consider applying for assignments with newspapers in smaller cities and towns. This will allow you to build rapport with editors, get the feel of working within the structure of a smaller paper and also allow you to begin building that portfolio of clips.
