How To Maintain a Winning Attitude

People react in many different ways when the subject of winning in life comes up. The Bible says in this life we will have trouble but we will always get ourselves out of it through Faith. The bottom line is, whatever season we encounter out of our journey in life, we must have a positive attitude to win. Joy and pain, suffering and healing, sunshine and rain, every phase, and every experience is a chance to go to the next level of learning.

Wining the race of life is about attitude.

  • The moment you wake up in the morning, help yourself to a hefty serving of a smile.
  • Think positive. Sure it’s okay to sulk and whine once in a while but have the will to get over your bad experience and think “Yes, I can!”
  • Practice a prayerful life. The power of prayer moves mountains.
  • Read the Bible. It contains thousands of amazing promises from the Lord Almighty.
  • Count your blessings. You just might be surprised at the many blessings that are right before you.
  • From the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Winning is all about encouragement. Mouth the words “Yes!” and it will make all the difference.
  • Begin with the end in mind. Visualize your future now and see only great things ahead.
  • Change your expectations. If you believe that something great will happen in your life then show it outwardly through your attitude.
  • Become an inspiration to others. Challenges are there to overcome, not defeat us.
  • Lose your negativity. It drains you of your positive energy.
  • Anger is a valid feeling. Acknowledge that you are angry. Take a deep breath and release your anger not on the person you are angry with but on physical activities like dancing or playing tennis.
  • Mingle with positive people and avoid energy-sapping people.
  • Have a good cry every now and then. It helps heal your spirit.
  • Laugh every chance you get regardless of your circumstance or situation in life.
  • Surround yourself with children and child-like people.
  • Appreciate the simple things in life.
  • Learn to say “Thank You.”
  • Believe that this too shall pass. Nothing lasts forever.
  • Banish fear, worry, and doubt in your vocabulary.
  • Have confidence in yourself.  You were fearfully and wonderfully made by God with gifts and abilities that are entirely unique and all your own.
  • Pick yourself up after a fall, shake the dust off and move on.
  • Learn to live without regret.
  • Don’t dwell on problems. Think of solutions.
  • Listen to uplifting music. Watch funny movies. Read good news.
  • Focus on the good in people.
  • Never compare your success with others. You are meant to have your own achievements in life.
  • Exercise. A winning attitude is also about happy hormones.
  • Think Norman Vincent Peale. “Whenever God wants to give us a gift, he wraps it up in a problem.”
  • Acknowledge that you are flawed but perfect just the same.
  • Quit for a minute then begin again.
  • Finish what you start.
