Formerly acknowledged as “hotjobs.com”, Yahoo! HotJobs is a recognized search engine for finding or posting employment opportunities. If you are interested in looking for a job through Yahoo! HotJobs, the following will provide you the detailed steps on how to go about uploading your resume on HotJobs.
- Prepare your resume. Before anything else, have your resume ready. Having this item before proceeding to the next step will make it faster and easier for you to upload the file on HotJobs. HotJobs only supports three types of files to be uploaded on their server, so ensure that your resume is either saved as a word document, a text document or an HTML document. Also, there is a size limitation; you will only be able to upload a resume, in any of the given file types stated earlier, that is no more than 100 KB in size.
- Navigate to Yahoo! HotJobs website.
- Log on to your Internet account, pull up a Web browser, type “hotjobs.yahoo.com” on the address bar and hit “enter” on your keyboard.
- Log on using your Yahoo! Account.
If you do not have a Yahoo account, the following will list the steps that would help you in creating a new one.

- Pull up hotjobs.yahoo.com on your Web browser.
- On the upper-left hand corner of the page, hit the link to “Register” to be redirected to Yahoo! ID account creation page.
- Enter all the required details needed and then hit “Create My Account” when you are done.
The account you just created will also serve as your Yahoo! email.
- Navigate to the Resume Manager. Once you are logged on using your Yahoo! account and password, hit the tab that says “My Resumes” to redirect you to the Resume Manager, the tool responsible in uploading your resume in Yahoo! HotJobs.
- Begin uploading your resume on Yahoo! HotJobs. Under “Resume Manager”, you will see three tabs: My Resumes, My Employment Profile, and Cover Letter. Ensure that you are on the My Resumes tab and do the following steps to successfully upload your resume.
- Under “Upload New Resume”, hit the “Browse” button to populate the “File Upload” dialogue box.
- Navigate through folders until you are inside the folder where you saved your resume
- Highlight the file and hit “Open.”
- Conversely speaking, still under “Upload New Resume”, on the text field provided, you can input the folder path and file name and file extension of your resume.
- Notice that the “Upload” button which was earlier grayed out, is now active.
Hit upload and you will be redirected to the Resume Preview page. Assess if your resume is appearing correctly, hit “Continue” and your resume is now uploaded to HotJobs.
