What is the Law of Attraction? The Law of Attraction, simply put, is the idea that thinking positive about something, having the desire and motivation and simply wanting something bad enough will eventually lead you to it, or attract you to that goal. A deeper understanding among proponents of the Law of Attraction says that thoughts, ideas and emotions all have a certain energy of their own.
That being said, peoples’ thoughts have their own power, and these thoughts dictate how a person’s life will play out. Basically, the more you want something, and if you honestly, truly believe that it is possible to get that certain something, then you will get it, whether you are aware of what you are doing or not. It is, in effect, a take on the power of positive thinking, except for the fact that energy is attributed to the thoughts themselves in this theory.
The Law of Attraction is something that had been brought to the public’s attention with the publication of the book “The Secret” by author Rhonda Byrne. In Byrne’s book, she takes a look at the different stories ad testimonials of people who believed in the Law of Attraction, and eventually because successful at what they were doing.
There are some people who are of the thinking that the Law of Attraction cannot possibly exist, mainly because no part of the Law of Attraction is quantifiable or measurable. That and the thinking that a positive attitude will naturally lead you to taking better choices in life, is probably one of the main arguments against the Law of Attraction.
However, many continue to claim that the Law of Attraction is true. These are people who have believed in the principle and did their best to maintain the positive attitude and thinking needed in order to attract into their lives whatever it was they were hoping for. Here we see the main, driving force behind a person’s motivation. If not for anything else, the Law of Attraction stands to prove the age-old adage that if you want something bad enough, you will find ways to get it. Proponents of the Law of Attraction take this line of thinking one step further: If you truly want something and if you truly believe that it is within your capacity to get it, then the universe will conspire to help you achieve that goal.
In order to control the Law of Attraction, you will need to harness the energy of your thoughts and ideas. You will want to truly and firmly know exactly what it is that you want. After you have defined what you want, you must simply ask for it. Ask the universe for your heart’s desire. The next step is probably the most crucial—you must fully believe that the object or goal you want to achieve is already on its way. This will help you visualize the object, and will give you and idea of what it is like to already have it. Finally, you must open yourself and be open to receiving the object or goal, all the while ready to accept whatever the outcome will be.
