Friendster offers several ways to personalize your online profile. One of them is to add widgets. Here are the steps on how to add Friendster widgets to your profile.
- Access your Friendster account on your computer. Open a web page on your computer and type in www.friendster.com. Enter your email address and password if you are already a member of Friendster. If you don't have an account yet, type in your email address under the ‘Join Friendster' section and click on the ‘Join Now' button. Enter the information required in order to successfully create your Friendster profile.
- Access the ‘Apps' page of Friendster. Once you are logged in and directed to the home page, hover your mouse cursor above the ‘Fun' section and select ‘Apps' from the dropdown.
- Choose a Friendster widget that you want to add to your profile. Once you are on the ‘Apps' page, you will see a list of available widgets. You can choose from these app categories: ‘Just For Fun', ‘Entertainment', ‘Games', ‘News and Information', ‘Sports', ‘TV Shows', ‘Video' and ‘Music'. Select one of the categories, or check out each one of them to find a widget that you can add to your profile. If you already have a specific widget in mind, you can search for it manually by using the ‘Search Apps' tab on the upper right of the page. Simply type the name of the widget that you want and click on the gray magnifying glass beside the box. Read the description of the widget to verify if it is indeed the application that you want to add to your profile.
- Add the Friendster widget to your profile. After locating the Friendster widget that you want, click on the ‘Add to Profile' button below the widget's photo. Another page will load where you will be asked to confirm the action. Put a check mark on the box for ‘Invite Friends to Install this App' if you want your contacts to know about the widget so they can add it to their own profile. Click on the ‘Add App' button so that the widget will appear on your profile. The widget will also load on your screen so you can begin customizing it. If you added a music playlist widget, a page will load asking you to choose songs to add to your playlist; if you added a game widget, the game will load so you can start playing. Follow the steps provided to complete the set-up of your widget.
Add more Friendster widgets to your profile and invite your contacts to install them too. You can play with your contacts if you added a game widget. The more widgets you add, the more fun and interactive your Friendster profile will get.
