The new HowToDoThings widget is here! Now you can have the "How To” of the Day delivered to you every day without even coming to HowToDoThings.com. You can add the widget to Windows Live, your customized Google page or to Netvibes (among others). Better yet, add it to your own web page or blog. The widget will automatically update every day with a new, fresh “How To”. Here is what the widget looks like:

Two options for adding the widget are listed below.

  1. Add the HowToDoThings widget to your personalized start page (for example iGoogle):
    • Click on the button below of your personal homepage provider.

Add to Netvibes Add to iGoogle Add to Windows Live

    • On the page that follows, click the add button. If Windows Live is your provider, you must then click on the "Install Gadget" button.
    • The "How To of the Day" widget will now appear on your homepage.
  2. Add the HowToDoThings widget to your own blog or web site

Copy and paste the following code to add the widget to your web page:

    <iframe src="http://nvmodules.netvibes.com/api/uwa/frame/uwa_standalone.php? moduleUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.netvibes.com%2Fmodules%2FmultipleFeeds %2FmultipleFeeds.php%3Fprovider%3Dhowtodothings" frameborder="0" height="200" scrolling="no" width="320"></iframe>

Note that you can change the height and width of the widget to fit onto your web site, blog, or personal homepage by adjusting the numbers between the quotes after "height" and "width". For example, to change the height to 300, use the following HTML:

    <iframe src="http://nvmodules.netvibes.com/api/uwa/frame/uwa_standalone.php? moduleUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.netvibes.com%2Fmodules%2FmultipleFeeds %2FmultipleFeeds.php%3Fprovider%3Dhowtodothings" frameborder="0" height="300" scrolling="no" width="320"></iframe>

It's that easy. Enjoy!
