How To Add Your Logo to Invoices in QuickBooks

Adding your business’ logo on your QuickBooks invoice is easy to do. Here are the steps on how to go about adding the logo on your invoice.

  1. Have ready your logo. If you already have an existing logo, scan it and save it on your hard drive. If you do not have one, produce or come up with one logo and then digitize it by either scanning the logo you did or generate the logo using an imaging program like Corel Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop. When creating a logo, remember to consider that your business’ insignia would look great, be it printed in colored or black and white. 
  2. Launch Intuit’s QuickBooks. Go about launching the program as you would with your word processor or email software.
  3. If you do not have one, create a new invoice. Creating a new invoice is easy to do. On the toolbar beneath the Menu bar, click on the “Invoice” icon. This will open the “Create Invoices” pane. Input the details needed in the “Bill To” field. If needed, you can change the date appearing on the “Date” field or change the number under the “Invoice #” field. Enter the client’s name or business name and their address. On the “Item” field, click the white space just below “Item” and a drop down button will appear. If you already have your items listed on QuickBooks, it will show up on this drop down menu. If the item you intend to put on the invoice is not on the list, just hit on “< Add New >”. This will open the “New Item” dialogue box where you can input the details for this specific item you intend to bill your customer. When you are done entering the details on the “New Item” dialogue box, just hit the “OK” button to apply the changes. Enter the quantity of items or services you are billing under “Qty”. Add as many items as needed by clicking on the white space under “Item”. Repeat the steps on how to add a new item if in case the item you aim to bill is not on the list. 
  4. Add your business’ logo onto to the invoice. Just above the date and invoice number fields, you will see the “Customize” button or icon (depends on which version of QuickBooks you are using), hit on it to pull up the “Basic Customization” window. Place a check on “Use Logo” under “the Logo&Fonts field and then hit the button to “Select Logo...”. This will populate the “Select Image” window that you will use to browse and locate the image file for the logo. When you have located your logo, highlight it and click on the “OK” button to apply it to your invoice. Situate your logo on the invoice by clicking on it and using your mouse, drag it to the place where you want it to appear.

After you are done inputting all the details and the logo on this specific invoice, save the invoice and print it. You also have the option to email the invoice to your client.
