Once the download completes, locate the installation file and click on it to initialize the installation. As the installation completes, it will automatically search and sort all of the pictures on your computer. If you don't want it to do this, then you can select to do it manually later on.
- Run Google Picasa 3. As soon as the installation completes, navigate to where the shortcut of the program was placed, typically your desktop, and double-click on it to run the program. Once Picasa is up and running, start selecting the folders you want to burn onto DVD. To make it much more easier, select the folders where the images are on your computer and click on the star beside it. This will transfer the folder to the "favorites" folder. This is a great option if you want to select a single folder to burn onto DVD later on. However, if you are not keen on this option, it is not necessary to do.
- Burn the DVD. To start burning the DVD, you can either select the folder containing the pictures you want to burn or select the "favorites" folder if you transferred all of the other folders into it. Anyway, select the folder and click "Create CD". Don't worry; this will apply to DVDs as well. By the way, make sure a blank DVD is inside your DVD writer at this point. Complete the process by checking the folders displayed and enter the name of the DVD on the burning window and select "burn". The burning process should take a few minutes depending on the total size of the file and the maximum writing speed of the disc.
After a few minutes wait, your DVD will be ready for viewing. If you want to burn the same project, then place another blank DVD in and click on "burn" again. Now that you know how to do this, you will have a great gift idea on special occasions like birthdays and Christmas. Best of all, the DVD can be played on the standard DVD players that are being sold in the market today. This being said, your loved ones will surely love this gift since all they have to do to view the pictures is to insert it into the DVD player and press play.
