There are several ways of constantly updating your MySpace account background, if you have one. One way which can be used by people with technical and coding knowledge is to use HTML and CSS. For others less technically inclined, there are many editors or generators available on the Internet, which provide step-by-step guidance on editing your MySpace backgrounds. This article takes you through the directions of editing your page background with a generator.
Step 1:

Download any content editor or generator. As mentioned, before there are numerous editors or generators, specifically for editing MySpace backgrounds, available online. Browse through the selection and download any or a few of these generators on to your computer.

Step 2:

Fill in your selections. Open the editor or generator you've downloaded and follow the instructions given. You will need to fill in your choices with respect to:

  • Background color
  • Background image
  • Table color
  • Border color
  • Border width
  • Border style
  • Font
  • Font color
  • Font size
  • Link color
Step 3:

Preview the code. Once you've filled in all the fields listed above, click on the button which will allow you to take a look at what your MySpace layout will look like. If you do not like the look of what has been generated, go back and tweak the various selections and keep previewing until you finally find a layout you like.

Step 4:

Generate the code. Click on the button which will generate the code for the layout that you've previewed and chosen in the previous step. Copy the code which is generated.

Step 5:

Go to MySpace. Login to your MySpace account, click on the ‘edit my profile' icon. Scroll to the next page and locate the "about me" icon. Click on the ‘edit' button or icon next to this field.

Step 6:

Input your code. Paste the code which you copied in step 4 in the space provided for the code. Click on the ‘submit' and ‘save' buttons, in that order, then go back to the "my profile" page and take a look at your new background and layout.

With a layout editor or generator, there is no end to the number of different and attractive layouts which can be generated for your MySpace profile. You can have one for each day of the week, or change it as per the different seasons or any other way you want. Use your creativity and imagination to the maximum and generate interesting backgrounds and layouts.
