How To Make a Web Page Fit the Monitor Screen

Making a Web page fit the monitor screen of your computer is useful, especially if you want to view the page in full screen. But if you are one of those people who are not yet that adept in using computers and are simply at a loss on how to make a Web page fit the monitor screen, then this article is just for you.

  1. Perform these steps if you want to make a Web page fit the monitor screen using the Mozilla Firefox 5.0 Web browser. Launch Mozilla Firefox 5.0 on your computer. You can do so by clicking twice on its desktop shortcut. If there is none, then click on the Start button first for a menu to appear on your screen. Select Mozilla Firefox from the programs listed by clicking on it once. Now, once Mozilla Firefox is pulled up, go to the topmost part of the window and click on the third tab, the View tab. From the dropdown menu that appears, notice how the item Status Bar is checked. Deselect this option by clicking on Status Bar once. The check mark right beside this item should now have disappeared. Now, to finally view the Web page in Mozilla Firefox in full screen, press the F11 key on your computer's keyboard. If you want to do away of the full screen mode, then simply press the F11 key again.
  2. Follow these steps if you want to make a Web page fit the monitor screen using the Internet Explorer 7 Web browser. Open Internet Explorer 7 on your computer by clicking on its desktop shortcut twice. Now, if there isn't any desktop shortcut for this program on your computer, then first click on the Start button. From the menu that will appear on your screen, you will need to select Internet Explorer by clicking on it once. Now that Internet Explorer is pulled up on your computer, go to the uppermost portion of the window first. Look for the item View from among the tabs listed and click on it once. Now, from the dropdown menu that pops up, notice that the second item Status Bar has a check mark right beside it. Uncheck this by simply clicking on Status Bar once. Once you are done with this, click on the View tab again and select the last option Full Screen from the dropdown menu by clicking on it once. Alternatively, you can press the F11 key on your keyboard to activate the full screen mode. If you want to exit from the full screen mode, simply press the F11 key once more.

Making a Web page fit the monitor screen lets you see more items on the Web page. This way, the need for scrolling is reduced.
