Viewing Incoming Emails:

  • Launch Microsoft Outlook. Look for the “Tools” menu and click on “Options”. You will be presented with a window with several tabs. Click on the “Mail Formats” tab. Select “Stationary and Fonts” from the list.
  • Under the “Personal Stationary” tab, look for the “Display Font” heading. Locate the “Size” field and increase the font size. This change is applicable to all incoming plain text emails. However, HTML emails will not be affected on this setting change.
  • One option to change all incoming email font is to set all of them as plain text. This will ensure that the font setting you have adjusted will be reflected on all incoming emails. To do this, go back to “Tools” and click on “Options”. Look for the “Email Options” button and enable “Read all Standard Mail as Plain Text”. Click “OK” to save the change.

Note that making all your emails as plain text will limit some of the functionality and alter how your emails are displayed, especially if it has images on it.

Do not forget to always save any changes on the setting for it to be reflected the next time you compose, reply, forward, or receive a message.
