How To Set Up a Google AdSense Account

Our payment system is based on the idea that we’re in this together. All you have to do is sign up for a Google AdSense Account, input your AdSense ID into the HowToDoThings system and, from that point on, we’ll begin splitting the revenue of each article right down the middle, 50/50.

Starting from Scratch:

1. Login to HowToDoThings.
2. Visit your Contributor Dashbaord.
3. Click on “My Google AdSense Info” in the left navigation (you must be logged in to do this). You should see a message informing you that you currently do not have an AdSense account linked to your HowToDoThings account.
4. Click on the link to set up a new AdSense account. Choose the email address you want to use (if it’s different from the email address you provided in your member application).
5. Review Google’s Terms & Conditions.
6. Click Sign Me Up. You’ll see a message that your account was created and instructing you to check your email inbox for further instructions from Google.
7. Read and follow the directions in the Google email to activate your account. You will not earn any revenue from submitted articles until you do so.

Already have an AdSense Account?

If you already have a Google AdSense account you can link that to HowToDoThings and start earning article revenue right away.

1. Login to HowToDoThings.
2. Visit your Contributor Dashbaord.
3. Click on “My Google AdSense Info” in the left navigation (you must be logged in to do this). You should see a message informing you that you currently do not have an AdSense account linked to your HowToDoThings account.
4. Click on the link to associate your current AdSense ID with your HowToDoThings account.
5. Review your email address. Make sure that the email address you provide is the same email address that’s associated with your Google AdSense account.
6. Enter your zip code or the last 5 digits of your phone number. Make sure that the information that you enter is the same information that you have affiliated with your Google AdSense account.
7. Click “Link my accounts”. You should get a message informing you that your accounts were successfully associated.
8. Check your email. You should receive an email from Google with further instructions about how to verify that your HowToDoThings
   dashboard has been linked with your Google AdSense account.
9. Read and follow the directions in the Google email to activate your account. You will not earn any revenue from submitted articles until you do so.
