How To Use GrandCentral's Voicemail Features

GrandCentral is truly an answer to a lot of communication needs of a lot of people these days. This is especially true for those people who have a single telephone line for both personal and office needs. Though this is a practical approach, using a personal line to cover business communications seems to be unethical for your business.

With GrandCentral, you can have the same old setup but now, your personal and business communications can appear to be two different lines. This works especially with its voicemail features. Using GrandCentral's voicemail services, it is already possible to direct callers to different groups as per specified settings. To give you a clearer view of this service, here's how you can take advantage of the great voicemail features of GrandCentral:

  • Add your contacts. Upon logging into your account, add all of your contacts' information. It will be helpful for you in the long run if you sort your contacts into groups such as personal and business contacts. This will help you setup a different greeting for each group a lot easier.
  • Set greetings. Personalize your greetings differently for your business contacts and personal contacts. To do this, click Greetings under Settings. Then, choose Customize by Groups so that you can proceed on recording a different greeting for each group of contact. Simply click Record New. Then, say a greeting.
  • Record your customized greetings individually. If you want a different greeting for each individual contact, follow the above instructions only that instead of clicking on Customize by Groups, go for Customize Greeting. Then, click Record New as well.
  • Check your voice messages. Do this by calling your number in GrandCentral. It is best to use your forwarding number here when doing this so that you will be automatically connected to your voicemail inbox. On the other hand, if you are using a different number, press Star and then indicate your PIN.
  • Access messages through your computer. Aside from calling your number, you can check and listen to your voice messages as well through signing in to your account. Just go to Inbox and select the message you wish to listen to. You also have the option to forward voice messages to your email address.
  • 6Archive messages. You have the option to keep voice messages online without keeping them on your phone mail. Simply press 7 or type it while listening to it so that it will automatically be archived. Pressing or typing 9, on the other hand, will keep the particular message as new.
  • Delete messages. This is as simple as deleting your email messages. Check the box right next to the voice message you wish to be deleted. Then, click on Delete Selected. You can also delete multiple messages at a time by checking several boxes before clicking Delete Selected.

The wonders of GrandCentral's voicemail features can definitely benefit a lot of people. So if you have problems about separating your home phone and business phone lines, it is better to take advantage of GrandCentral as it is easy and practical to use.
