Unlike landlines, cell phone numbers are usually not listed in phone books and can't be accessed by dialing Information. Many companies charge to trace cell phone numbers, and until recently, you had to pay the fee or not get much information. However, it is now possible to trace cell phone numbers free of charge.

How To Create Forum Signatures (Sig)

If you are an avid user of forums or message boards, then you are no stranger to what a forum signature is. Chances are, you are reading this because you want to know how to make one for your account as well. For those who may not know this already, the forum signature is that little area of text and/or pictures that appears under a person's message board post.

When you sign up for a message board, you do not have a signature that goes with your name. In fact, you will not have one unless you take it upon yourself to make your own signature. Many people love the look of a forum signature. However, the problem lies with knowing how to put them in. If you are going for a very specific look, you will need to use special codes to make that look happen.

The good news is that everything you need to know about creating forum signatures is listed in this article.

Cannot open links in outlook express emails?

Do you find that when you click a link in an email nothing happens?

This can occur when another program has registered itself as the default application for browsing the web. If this program is not well written, or it has been uninstalled, outlook express cannot launch a browser window when you click on a link within an email.

To remedy this problem you must re-register Internet Explorer as the default browser.

Start Internet Explorer

Select the Tools->Internet Options menu

Select the [Programs] tab

Look for a checkbox labelled "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser"

If this checkbox is not ticked, then this is the cause of the problem, so tick it!

Click OK

Close Internet Explorer

Re-open Internet Explorer

Close Outlook Express

Re-open Outlook Express

How To Enhance and Resize Photos for Craigslist

In Part 1, How To Use ImageShack Photo Hosting for Craigslist Ads, I described what photo hosting was all about and why you want to avoid use of Craigslist's own tools for adding photos to your product listings. I discussed the virtues of ImageShack's free hosting service and its other uses, and explained that the procedures are easy to follow. Now it's time to get your photos ready for the show by enhancing and resizing them.

Let's say you've decided to sell an assortment of obsolete wired networking hardware (you recently switched to wireless, right?). You've got a LinkSys router and two Netgear hubs of different sizes. With your new 8 megapixel Canon camera, you'll shoot pictures of each. You already know how to download these photos from camera to computer. You've placed the photos in a folder named C:\craigslist\NetworkHardware4Sale.

That's where they are, right? Now it's time to place them in your Craigslist ad. You are just several easy steps away from WOW.

Bring your browser on screen and go to Craigslist. In most cases, Craigslist will set up automatically for your region.

Personal profiles, especially online profiles, are an excellent way to distill information about you into a digestible and interesting format. A profile is a scrapbook of your life in words. The goal is to create a cross-section of your life and self that will intrigue the reader and make her want to find out more about you. Whether you are creating a profile in order to look for jobs, relationships or as a form of advertisement for your vocation or business, there are some basic writer's guidelines that you will want to practice.

How To Sell a Car on eBay

Every day, hundreds of cars sell on eBay. You can find every kind of car imaginable on eBay, and if you interested is selling a car, it can be a great place to safely sell the old family car. Selling a car on eBay can be a very fast way to get a car off your hands -- usually in about 7 days. In fact, you can set up a shorter auction if you want. The site is pretty intuitive, and you should be able to get the hang of it after playing with it for a few minutes. But, here's a few tips I've put together to help you with your first eBay car listing.

Research. Learn what the car is worth. Research past eBay listings for cars similar to yours.

Take a lot of pictures. Once you think you have enough pictures, take a few more.

Be sure to show all parts of the car including views from all sides.

How To Get AIM Express

Instant messaging has become a popular way to communicate with friends and family across the world. AOL's instant messaging system AIM is one of the most widely used systems. AIM Express is a service available to AIM and AOL users that allows you to send instant messages using the web when you are on a computer that does not have AIM or AOL downloaded. Here is how to get AIM Express.

You must have an AOL or AIM account. AIM Express is a free service for current AOL or AIM users. AIM is free as well, so sign up if you do not already have a username and password.

Go to http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp in order to begin using AIM Express. If you use a popup blocker, be sure it is disabled or AIM Express will not work.
How To Use ImageShack Photo Hosting for Craigslist Ads

To the anguish of newspaper publishers, the free listing service known as Craigslist has made serious inroads into ads for products and services as well as jobs, housing and more. Newspapers charge for ads, but Craigslist is free (with a few exceptions).

If you've ever viewed the listings (go to Craigslist to try it out), many product ads have up to four very small photos at the end of the writeup. Every once in while you'll run across an ad with huge photos in the middle of the writeup, and they show off the details. WOW! How did those photos get there, and what can you do to get WOW into your own listings?

Here's how to do it using Windows XP and either Firefox or Internet Explorer browers. Chances are good that Vista and Win2000 computers work the same, and the basics can be adapted to OS-X (Apple) or Linux. Please read the whole article, then come back and try the steps.

How To Get Free Email Accounts

If you want to use the internet effectively, you are going to need an email address. Do not fear - there are a number of places to get a free one online. Signing up is a breeze as well, so read on and find a free email address for yourself.

Sites:

Yahoo.com: This is one of the most widely-used free email sites around. Just by signing up for Yahoo email, you also get a username for the whole site, so you can play games, join groups, meet people, etc. Of course, there is a downside to the site being so popular - spam is pretty common.

Hotmail.com: The other big free email mecca, Hotmail is pretty similar to Yahoo. You'll get a free email address that also gets you access to a custom homepage, groups, games, and other goodies. Again, spam is a problem because many hackers have figured out how to get their emails sent to every user.
