Speaker: Grilling pizza is a great way to get the same smoky taste that a wood burning oven creates. If you like, prepare and serve in a grill veggie so that your guests can personalize their pizzas. Dust your pizza peel with a tablespoon of cornmeal. Place the barbecue pizza maker on the grill and preheat to medium heat. Start with fresh dough bought from the grocery store, then dust the dough and your hands with a little bit of flour to prevent the dough from sticking. Now you can start working the dough. Before topping the pizza, give the dough a little shape to make sure it hasn't stuck to the pizza peel. Next, slice eight ounces of fresh Mozzarella and place on the pizza. Slice one riped plum tomato and place on top of the cheese. Shred and add six basil leaves. This is an easy technique for chopping basil. First pile all the washed basil leaves on top of one another then roll them together like a cigar and start slicing the roll from one end to the other and add to the pizza. Let the pizza grilled for about four minutes undisturbed and then check the bottom crust and then let it cook for about four minutes longer. Before you serve, top with fresh basil, sprinkle with salt and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Grilled pizzas, the perfect appetizer for a picnic or a cocktail party.
