This is a videos tutorial by jimmyr.com. In this tutorial I will be talking about virtual CD’s, CD images and which are ISOS. So, what does that mean to you? Have you been running a program that says insert the original CD or will not let you use it. And if you butt the program this stupid anti-piracy thing say insert original CD go look for it, yes. How you disable that? I want the CD on my drive I want the CD on my computer so that I never have to insert the CD again. Also that little winding sound, that stupid CD drive makes (Demo) that is annoying. I rather have it running from my hard drive in actually reading stuff from CD and all that can be sold with virtual CD’s. I have a laptop that did not have a DVD drive in I did not have a burner. So, I can watch DVD’s but that is not the case I can actually watch DVD’s on computers that do not have even a DVD drive. It has even matter to have a CD drive it is completely relevant. What I do is download the ISO files of DVD’s and I insert them into my virtual drive. If it sounds really complicated it is not, I will show you how to do it in it is going to be really easy in I am going to use free software that are small in file size so you can even do it on a 56K connection. You cannot get the DVD’s, you going to have to get out from your friend in generosity. The CD image but it is actually very easy, the first program well there is two programs I have. I have diamond tools and alcohol 52 percent. So, I am going to go to Google in I am going to go search diamond tools. Well, let start with alcohol. Alcohol is a program use to be called alcohol a 120 percent. They still have that but they release a free waiver in this software called alcohol 52 percent in it is absolutely free. You can copy CD images, you can run virtual drives it is really great program you just got to download and it is going to show first alcohol 120 percent. If you scroll that in get the free version which is alcohol 52 percent. So, just download a free go ahead and install it. I have already downloaded it, it is right here it is called alcohol 52 percent. To make a CD image let say I have that CD that I never want to put in to my drive again. It always prompts me in I use it very often. I just click image making wizard, I put it in the CD and I dump the data onto my desktop. I select the drive, I just click next, I select ISO as a standard in I do not have to do much else after that, I can just select to my desktop. So, we go ahead in start in it in the file generates an ISO. I mean the CD generates an ISO on my desktop. So it generates a one to one copy of my CD in puts it on my hard drive in then I can just open it. I am going to go ahead in cancel this. I will show you how to open the CD real quick. I go into alcohol I scroll down and I go to my virtual CD drive it also a DVD-ROM and I just click mount image. I have this old kind of CD that I have that I burned earlier that I turned into ISO earlier and I just click it, it mounts the image, it says it mounts it and I go to my computer in now I have a new CD-ROM drive. It does not exist on my computer the only real CD-ROM drive is my D drive, this are fake. These one from alcohol, these one from diamond tools I show you diamond tools in a minute but as you can see it opens the content of the fake CD file. So, it is very simple to do all I use is freeware programs and if you do not like alcohol there is no alternative called diamond tools which is very, very easy to use and very small file size.
