Right, well it's the morning, that was Jack's first night in the house and he was really well behaved, didn't make any noises or anything. If you have got a puppy and they are crying at night then the only way really to stop that is just to be really firm from day one not going back to them, let them cry and they will sort themselves out and they will realize that crying at night gives them no benefit, you don't come back to them. If you do go back then you are into a cycle of they cry, you go back and it's very hard to break that. Luckily I was able to see Jack who has been trained who has been trained so he is absolutely no problem at all.
Now the next thing to think about toilet training and if you take your neonatal dog from the rescue center like Jack chances are that's already been done and he is brained so there was no mess over night, he is absolutely fine. If you take on a puppy then you have got to do that process and it is really pretty easy because dogs are very clean animals and naturally they won't go to the toilet outside somewhere away from where they eat and sleep and the best way to do it is just use positive reinforcement. So as soon as your puppy is eating and on regular basis pick him up take them outside put them on the lawn and they will naturally go to the toilet and then give them a treat, give them lots of praise, say well done and they will soon get the hang of the thought that you want them to go to the toilet outside and try not to use too much negative punishment if they go inside then just -- they will know from the positive reinforcement outside rather than you telling them of inside and you don't really need to use newspapers or anything either inside because they will just get the hang of going to the toilet on newspaper and you want them to get a hang of going to toilet outside and in any case whatever the harder is just persevere because all dogs will get the hang of toilet training and whether it takes three months, six months or a year you get there in the end and in my personal experience it has taken up to four or five months till you get a dog a 100% toilet trained.
So just you have to make do and put up with a few messes and it's just a part of owning a dog really.
