Homework help available! Just don't be too shy to ask or look for it!!! It's your future.
One thing students can expect during the school year is homework.  Hopefully, the work is to reinforce what you have learned in class, and in upper grades, writing assignments or reports.  Depending on your age, parents are the best source of homework help.  But, schoolwork has definitely changed since parents were in school, so outside sources may be needed.  There are many to choose from depending on the exact need.
Step 1:

Friends can often explain skills you may not understand so that you do.  Sometimes even better than teachers, because the true test of understanding something is to explain it to someone else.  Make sure your friend explains and does not just give answers because it only hurts you in the long run.

Step 2:

Study groups can be a good way to prepare for an upcoming test or special project.  Keep the group to three or four friends that you know are going to really want to study.  Ask each other questions about the material.  Take turns explaining different parts of the study material to each other.  The more you tell someone else about the work, the more you will remember.

Step 3:

Make sure you take good notes in class to use when doing homework.  Compare the notes with your friends' notes.  Each may have written something the other can use or understand better.

Step 4:

Search for after-school programs that offer homework help.  The Boys and Girls Clubs offer such programs.  Some schools even have an after-school program or tutoring session for homework help.  Some churches and other organizations also offer homework help.

Look in the newspaper classified ads.  Retired adults may advertise that they are willing to help students with homework at no charge.  Do not just take this upon yourself.  Make sure your parents are involved with the decision and know the person.

For-pay tutors are also an alternative.

Step 5:

Ask your teacher if he or she knows of homework assistance.  Your teacher may know of someone who would work with you after school as you need help.  Also, the teacher may know of programs that are offered in your city.

Step 6:

Go online and search for the term "homework help."  I did and found several sites that give information for reports, examples of how to do math problems, and various other information.

Type in the specific skill you need and search within the results of online homework help.

Bookmark the sites that will benefit you for quick access later.

Everyone needs help with work of all kinds from time to time.  Don't be shy and not ask for help.  Your education is your future, so do all you can to get the help you need.

Remember that grandparents, aunts, and uncles are good resources for help, too.  One person may not be helpful in all areas, so go to the person that has the help you need.

Just remember that it's okay to ask for help.  No matter how old you are, not understanding is no fun.  Everyone needs someone or some place to go for advice and help.

Quick Tips:
Check with your parents before you begin any program.
