Homeschooling children allows Christian parents to monitor their children's behavior and influence them through modeling Christian morals and values.
Homeschooling is becoming a popular trend these days, even more so among Christian families. If you're trying to decide whether homeschooling is right for your children, consider these thoughts on homeschooling your Christian child.
Step 1:

The Bible states that children will not stray from what they are taught. A verse from the Bible (Proverbs 22:6) makes a good case for Christian homeschooling, insomuch as it places strong value on a child's education. It says "train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it." For parents considering homeschooling their children, this verse clearly argues the importance of a solid upbringing for children. If you want your children to have Christian values for their entire life, then perhaps it starts with a Christian education at a young age. As these aren't often available in schools, homeschooling is the alternative choice.

Step 2:

Homeschooling allows you more influence on your children. Although there is a strong case to be argued for the convenience of public schools, homeschooling has its bonuses as well. Perhaps the most important positive aspect of educating your child in your Christian home is that you'll be able to spend more time with your children. If you lead a Christian lifestyle, your child will see you modeling Christian morals and values more often. Your actions will have more effect on the actions of your children if you have more time to influence them in your Christian ways. If you would rather have your children influenced by the gospel than by their friends and teachers at public school, then homeschooling is definitely something you need to consider.

Step 3:

Each lesson can be religious-based. Children who are homeschooled by their Christian parents receive much more religious teaching. This is because the parent has more control over what lessons are taught. Unlike public schools, which much adhere to strict government curricula, homeschooling is much more lenient. As a Christian parent, you can put your beliefs about Christ into any lesson you like. You can discuss creationism freely instead of worrying about broaching the subject of evolution in biology. Your history lessons can date back to Jesus' time. And even math class can discuss the importance of tithing. In general, you can put a Christian influence into just about anything you present to your child during a homeschooling lesson, without any backlash from the school board or administration. Opting for Christian homeschooling gives you the peace of mind that your child will receive exactly the education that you want him to have.

Step 4:

Homeschooling keeps your child away from bad influences. Public schools are home to children from a variety of backgrounds, and not all of their upbringings are wholesome. Children in public schools are more likely to be exposed to drugs, alcohol, pornography, and criminal behavior in general. At a public school, your child will see his peers partaking in these activities, and he will be tempted to do the same. If you can keep him at home, your child will be less likely to fall off of the path of the Lord.

Homeschool allows Christian parents to monitor their children's behavior. Parents have more opportunities to influence their children if kids are taught at home. And with the many resources available to Christian parents interested in homeschooling, there is a strong case for taking your children out of the public school system.
