Paper writing assignments can be a pain in the neck. Sometimes, you're just not in the groove. But with that term paper deadline hovering above you like a sword on a string, you've just got to write. What's worse, you've got to write a persuasive essay, one that will prove to your teacher once and for all that you weren't sleeping all the time in class. If you've been finding yourself in a lot of trouble when it comes to paper writing, here are a few tips to help you out:

1. Just write. One of the toughest things to do is to find your paper writing groove. A lot of times, you find yourself unable to express your thoughts and print them out for your professor to judge. However, you're going to have to get to paper writing sooner or later, and the only way you're really ever going to find your writing mojo is if you just go ahead and write. That's right - in order to get into the mood for paper writing, you're going to have to just start writing. Load up your word-processing software, get your fingers on the keyboard, and write. You'll find that the mood will come more easily if you just take that initial leap of faith.
2. Learn from example. Struggling to find your inspiration? You might need an essay example to get your paper writing juices flowing. Log on to the Internet and look for a sample essay that's related to your paper topics. You can find new, relevant ideas based on the sample essay. Maybe it uses a theme you can modify for your own term paper, or maybe it shows a whole new way to think about your paper topics. Whatever you do, learn from it, but don't use it. You don't want to be copying another person's work - that's plagiarism, and it's a serious offense.
3. Find your voice. Approach your paper topics and discuss them as though you were conversing with someone. Not only will your paper sound more personal, but writing naturally will also help your ideas flow more smoothly. Just make sure that you use proper language and grammar. It's not likely that your 70-year-old Classical Literature professor will appreciate you using slang. An added bonus to this is that it'll make your term paper less likely to sound like it came from an essay writing service, which might put you in some hot water if people find out you paid someone else to write your essay.
4. Forget about the format. One of the things that get in the way of smooth and easy paper writing is the formatting. Some teachers are real sticklers for the font, sizing, spacing, and other matters of formatting. Some of them even go so far as to reject papers the moment they notice that the format is all wrong. Do yourself a favor and forget about the format. You're not going to be able to get any real paper writing done if you've got that pressure constantly in the back of your head, and formatting while writing will only throw you off track and slow down the process. Write your term paper first, and then edit it. The format should come last.
