Well your in luck, because Virgin Mobile offers you several ways to get free minutes for your phone. Here's what you'll need to do to start raking in that free airtime:
- Get a Virgin mobile phone. If you already have a Virgin Mobile phone, you can skip right on down to step 2. If not, Virgin Mobile phones are available at tons of retail and department stores. Use this store locator to find a store in your neighborhood. You could also order your phone online at VirginMobile.com and have it delivered to you free of charge. - Find your sugar mama! Virgin Mobile offers a program which allows you to earn free airtime minutes which is called Sugar Mama. To sign-up for the Sugar Mama program, you will need to log into your Virgin Mobile account by visiting VirginMobile.com and entering your Virgin Mobile phone number and V-key (Your V-key is the 6 digit code you created when you activated your phone).
- Join sugar mama. Now that you've logged into the Virgin Mobile website, you will see a link for Sugar Mama. Click on it. You will be asked whether you wish to join Sugar Mama Online, Sugar Mama Mobile or both. Choose both.
- Earn free minutes online. Now that you've signed up for Sugar Mama Online, you will see a button "Earn Minute Now" on your Virgin Mobile account page. Click it. You will be shown a short commercial, and be asked a question or two about it; estimated time is one minute as Sugar Mama's motto is "one minute of your time for one minute of ours". You will earn one free minute of airtime for each commercial you watch. The maximum number of commercials you may watch are 5 per day and 75 per month.
- Earn free minutes via your phone. Now that you are signed up for Sugar Mama Mobile, you will receive text messages (2 per week) from Sugar Mama. These messages will also be short advertisements which will ask for you to reply to after you've read it. For every 2 messages you reply to, you will receive one free minute of airtime.
- Refer your friends. Tell your friends about Virgin Mobile, and if they get a phone, you will earn money for referring them. You will get $10 for the first person you refer, and $20 for each additional person you refer. The money will be added to your Virgin Mobile account's cash balance and can be used to purchase airtime minutes, ring-tones, wallpapers, games, phones and more.
- Earn minutes with your Facebook page. This one couldn't get any easier. Your friends will do all the work for you! All you have to do is add the "Fund My Phone" application to your Facebook profile. If you don't already have a Facebook account, you can sign up for free. Once the "Fund My Phone" application is on your Facebook page your friends can click on it and watch the same sort of ads you are already watching with Sugar Mama Online. For every four ads your friends watch, you will receive one minute of free airtime. The more they watch, the more you earn! It's that easy!

I really enjoy my Virgin phone but I don't really want to read ads. I guess I have to forgo the free minutes.
Mary, you may be surprised how simple it is to get the Virgin minutes. You really don't have to read any long ads; just watch a quick video or send a one word reply to a text message. Or you could try the referral program. If you run into a friend or family member in the market for a phone, just tell them how happy you are with yours! How Easy, and they will earn a bonus as well. Everyone wins:)
I suppose if you don't use your Virgin Mobil phone too much it is pretty cheap so I could see why you may not want to be bothered, but I find it really rewarding to see all those minutes I've racked up at the end of the month with such little effort.
