These simple steps will help you reset your iPod in no time. If you have ever had your iPod unexpectedly freeze up, you can relate to the frustration and panic that sets in. Take the following steps to get your iPod back to normal.

Step 1:

Toggle the hold switch. The hold switch is located on the top part of the iPod, right next to where the headphones get plugged in. Simply slide the hold switch "On" and "Off" and then "On" and "Off" again.

Step 2:

Press the Menu and Center buttons. After you have toggled the hold switch, press down the Menu and Center buttons together for about 6 seconds. You will then see the Apple logo appear, and the iPod will restart itself. Hooray!
