If you’ve been following my TV shows or visiting my website for any length of time you know that I am a sucker when it comes to lettuce. Every year I pack in as may new and interesting varieties, as well as some old favorites, into my gardens.

The garden homer tree; this is certainly full of the abundance of the garden, fresh fruit, tasty produce, and a bounty of blooms that greets you at every turn. Now, if you have been following my television shows or visiting my website for any length of time, you know that I am just crazy about varieties of lettuce. Every year, I pack in as many new and interesting varieties as well as some old favorites into my vegetable gardens. This year, the show stopper has to be Granada, which I started from seed. It is beautiful red tinted foliage was not only a feast for the pallet, but also for the eyes. Just take a look at it! This is an ideal lettuce for those leaving in areas with extended cold periods and for me, I started growing Granada in the fall and with through the hole winter enjoying this wonderful salad grain.
