Sofya: I am Sofya Nadelstein and I am Molly’s partner in the store. Molly takes care of antiques and linens and I take care of fresh flowers and parties.
Molly: Hi, I am Molly Finkelstein and I am going to tell you how to make a really cozy bedroom for your teenager.
I think one of the very first things is to picture yourself as a teenager and what was it that you wanted in your room. I think the first thing is really, really a cozy spot to hangout with friends, whether it is a bed piled with pillows, a nice big easy chair, so that you can really pack the people in, so you can really visit with your friends.
I would probably paint the walls a nice deep color, put a nice real rich rug in there and I would probably put a really nice big framed bulletin board with a large desk, so that you can put up pictures of your friends, your schedule, what you will be doing.
I think the one thing that I would not put in a cozy teen bedroom is a TV. I think this is a place where you suppose to visit and you are supposed to explore and kind of read and become a little more of a grown up. So I think that you want to have a room that is cozy spot for you teen, to be a little approaching or grown up bedroom but plenty of room for all of the things that they might need to express who they are as a growing teen.
Molly: Hi, I am Molly Finklestein and I am going to give you just a few tips on how to make a sports bedroom for your child.
One of the first things you might do is find out what is there favorite sport. And from there, you could blow-up, let us say, pictures of baseball cards, you could blow-up pictures of any given sport to frame on the wall. And then, I would say in the sports bedroom—lots of book shelves.
I think that, in my experience I know, a collection of books by sports figures was always very popular and you always need a spot for those trophies.
