How To Boost Your Self Esteem

True happiness in life starts with being happy with ourselves and who we are. That stems from having high self esteem and confidence. While you may believe you already have good self esteem, it can usually be improved. Boosting your self esteem helps you to feel better about yourself and gives you a more positive outlook on life. Step 1

Praise yourself. While you don't need to shout it from the rafters, it is important to pat yourself on the back once in a while. Keep learning. If you feel like you aren't knowledgeable about something, it may bring down your self esteem. You can combat this by continuously teaching yourself new things. It's great for your brain, but also great for conversation. Your friends will be amazed with your knowledge and their praise will boost your self esteem.

Surround yourself with positive people. There are a lot of images and people in this world that can drop our self esteem faster than the New York apple, but you can't focus on those people. Instead, you need to surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself. Find uplifting friends who encourage your success without minimizing your accomplishments. Remove people from your life who only bring you down and you'll be surprised at how this will boost your self esteem.
