You see the warning signs of a marriage going stale. He turns his back on you when in bed and forgets to give you a goodnight kiss. You complain about almost everything - from his socks scattered on the floor and his heavy snoring at night. Could this be a sign that boredom is beginning to creep into your marriage? Act now before it is too late.
Here's how to spice up your marriage by doing things you don't normally do. Shove your conservative side aside and make your sexual relationship more exciting and satisfying.
- At bedtime, take a shower and put on sexy lingerie. Apply some make-up. Spray a mild but seductive perfume. Walk through the bedroom door in high heels. Sit on the bedside and look at him then wait for his move.
- Before he comes home from work, create a romantic ambiance in your room. Draw the curtains, light some aromatic candles, scatter a trail of rose petals on the floor leading to the bathroom. When he gets home he will be curious. He will then follow the trail of petals to find you soaking in the tub having a bubble bath.
- Surprise him by wearing very sexy attire (much like what strip teasers wear) and give him a lap dance. Dim the lights in your bedroom and make him sit in a couch then play sexy music and gyrate for him like a pro.
- When was the last time you watched a movie together? Perhaps you can do it again one weekend. While inside the theater, snuggle close to him. Try whispering sweet nothings in his ears in a soft alluring voice. If you both start feeling the heat at this point, don't deny yourselves. Kiss like passionate lovers, then go home or get a room and spend the rest of the evening full of passion.
- Always observe good grooming. Never kiss him with the smell of garlic in your mouth. Likewise your hair should be eternally clean and fragrant. Men love good smelling hair.
- Wear flattering dresses that will show your curves even if you will just do the laundry or vacuum the floor.
- Spend a whole day shopping for him. If you have the budget, splurge for him. Buy his favorite cologne, a new shirt, a nice laptop bag, trendy flip-flops and perhaps some tools for his car.
- Give color to his day by writing him notes. It may be mushy and cheesy but romantic nonetheless. You may stick the notes for him to read when he gets up in the morning. It could be on the bathroom mirror or on his plate at the breakfast table. Do this especially when you know he is having a difficult time at work.
- Play board games. Scrabble, chess, monopoly and game of the generals...they may be old fashioned but the experience of sitting together and figuring out how to beat one another in a pleasant game is a good way of feeling each other's presence and temporarily forgetting all the pressures, problems and challenges of life.
Spicing up your marriage is always a work in progress. It is a continuing process that you need to go through together if you want your marriage to stay intact, alive and exciting.
