Use a Condom

Every adult should know how to use a condom.  Not only will they help to prevent sexually transmitted diseases but they also help to prevent pregnancy if they are used correctly.  It really is not very difficult to learn how to use a condom.  In fact, it will only take you a few minutes to learn how to use a condom.

1. The first thing you will want to do when you use a condom is make sure that you open it carefully so as not to tear it.  You will want to use your hands to grab the corners of the package and then slowly tear it open.  Make sure that you use a condom that is not brittle and that it doesn't look old or feel dry.  If it does, then don't use it.
2. Once the condom is open, figure out which way it unrolls.  If you want to use some water-based lubricant inside of your condom, now is the time to put a few drops there.  Whenever your penis is erect, unroll the condom over the top of it.  If you are uncircumcised, make sure that you pull back your foreskin before doing this.  It is also important to make sure that there is a half-inch of space at the tip of your condom as this is where your semen will be collected.
3. While you are unrolling the condom, make sure that you are also squeezing the tip to keep any air from getting trapped inside.  This will take 2 hands: one to unroll the condom down to your base and 1 to squeeze out any air.  Continue using your hand to squeeze out any air until you have the condom on.
4. Whenever you finally have the condom on, make sure that you don't have any air inside of it.  You can also put some of the water-based lubricant on the outside of the condom if you have not purchased a pre-lubricated condom.  However, it is a good idea to purchase the pre-lubricated condoms, as they are much easier to use and oftentimes more pleasurable as well.

After you are done having intercourse, and while you are still erect, make sure to hold onto the base of the condom and squeeze it closed as you pull it out slowly.  Make sure that you dispose of the condom by wrapping it in a Kleenex and then placing it in a trash can.  Never use a condom more than once.
