How To Add Foundation Makeup

Every girl wants to wear makeup in order to feel beautiful and confident. And we get that confidence when wearing make-up foundation. But if your foundation doesn’t match your skin color, you end up feeling embarrassed instead. Adding foundation is not as scary as you think. The process can be relatively easy if you’re willing to go through the steps. Here, you will learn how you can find and apply the right foundation makeup for your skin. You will be able to achieve the natural look in no time.

First, you should go to a drug store and look at the different makeup foundations. Notice the ones that interest you. Do you like liquid foundation or are you interested in trying the new mineral foundations? Most drugstores won’t allow you to test their products. In order to find the perfect color while you’re there, hold similar shades next to your hand or the inside of your wrist. Your hand and wrist are the same color as your face.

If you’re still not sure, you can always go to a beauty counter at a fine retail store. They will be glad to help you find the right foundation for your face. They will also explain to you step-by-step on how to add your foundation each day. You may even get a free gift, including foundation and other makeup you can try on yourself at home.

Now with the selected foundation in mind, you can try to achieve the perfect natural look at home. If you’re using a mineral foundation, then go on to the next paragraph. This section will be about applying liquid foundation makeup. Only dab a little liquid foundation onto your finger. With the foundation on your finger, dab your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. Gently rub the foundation into your skin with your finger or a sponge in a clockwise motion.  Check to see if you missed any blemishes, dark spots, or break outs. If so, dab a little onto the area. You can add more makeup foundation if needed. Once you’re finished, lift your head in the mirror to see if you notice any difference of color.

Adding mineral makeup is easier and faster. It also creates less of a mess than liquid makeup foundations. All you do is swirl your brush in the mineral jar, tap it, and brush it onto your face. The great thing is that you can anywhere you want on your face, and continue in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. You can always reapply as well. With mineral makeup, you don’t have to worry about looking unnatural. No one will be able to tell you have makeup on!

Adding foundation makeup may take a little more practice for some, so be patient!
