Millions of women across the country would like to acquire tips on how to better apply their make-up. The first thing you will need to know is that makeup looks better on skin that has been properly cleansed. Before you begin to apply any make-up to your skin you will need to exfoliate the skin with a light facial scrub or cleanser. This will allow you to remove dead skin cells for a smoother finish.
The next thing that you will need to do before you apply your make-up, is to use a facial toner and moisturizer. Make sure that your moisturizer will not clog your pores, because this can cause pimples. Once you have properly prepared your skin for make-up application, then you may proceed.
- There is one thing you should remember about make-up. Make-up application should enhance your natural beauty. The ultimate goal is to look more radiant and natural. Keeping this in mind, you will need to apply your foundation. Unless you have skin that is really blotchy or has blemishes, some women can actually skip this part and go straight to a powder that matches their skin tone.
- Apply the powder to your face and make sure that you blend around the jaw line so that your make-up doesn't have that hard line that looks so unattractive. After you have applied the powder, then you can choose a blush that complements your skin. Think of a color that would naturally come to you if you were really embarrassed and go up one shade.
- Now that we have the face done, we need to get started on the eyes. Choose an eyeshadow that will brighten up the eye, and apply from the inner eyelid toward the outer edge. Also, you will need to line the eyes with an eyeliner to help define and accentuate. Choosing the right color liner can be difficult, so if you have any doubts, stick with a brown or a soft black. Using a heavy eyeliner can make you look as if you are trying too hard.
- The eyelashes are the next thing that should be focused on. Choose a waterproof mascara and apply from root to tip. Many of the products can give a nice coverage with one application.
- The last thing that will complete your make-up will be your lipstick. To begin, line your lips with a color that is slightly lighter than the actual lipstick that you will be using. Apply the color to the lips, and you have completed your make-up.
