Teen years are extremely important in life. You go through tons of changes in the body. For most of us that can be really frustrating! Well a little way to help out is to cleanse your face daily. Sound pretty simple? It should be, especially because I am going to tell you about products you can find at your local store. Here's how to wash your face with a simple five step process.
Prepare For Cleansing. First things first! You want to make sure you have your hair pulled back or have a head band on. Then make sure you wet your face with WARM WATER!! Why WARM WATER!? Well it's quite simple actually. (I could get all in depth about this, but I'm going to keep it short and sweet!) You want to use WARM WATER because if you just use hot water that will clean out a lot of unwanted things on the face, but also a lot of wanted things like our body oils. Cold water just really doesn't do much. And don't forget the neck!
Begin Cleansing. Now you will want to grab a facial wash like a Clean and Clear Facial wash. Or if you are African American then you might want to go for Ambi Foaming Facial wash. Both are inexpensive. Now just put a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and rub in circular motions all over the face and neck. Really try to get troubled areas, like where acne might show up (forehead, chin, etc.)
Rinse. You're almost done! You will begin rinsing with WARM WATER. Make sure you completly rinse off all of your cleanser on your face and neck. To be sure, go over your face and neck with water about 5 times.
Dry your face off. I know i know, you're probaly wondering why I am telling you how to dry your face. Drying seems pretty simple. Well just to make sure you know everything let's review. When you dry your face and neck you want to make you only pat it dry. DO NOT RUB with a clean soft towel. You also want to leave just a tad bit of moister on the face and neck.
Moisturize. Picking a lotion is totally up to you! It depends if you want a scent, have sensitive skin, want something organic, etc. While on the more simple side, for African American teens I would recommend an Ambi moisturizer. Otherwise I would suggest something like Neutrogena. Or anything that has "SPF" in it. A lot of moisturizers will have something like SPF 15 or SPF 30 and both are very good. Now, when applying your moisturizer, put a quarter size amount into the palm of the hand and just lather that all over the face and neck and make sure you really rub it in.
