How To Decide on Getting a Nose Job

The most prominent feature on our face is our nose.  Most of us do not want to look like Pinocchio with a nose that looks as if it keeps on growing.  The subject of stories and fairy tales like Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer are enough to make a child who is self conscious about his nose paranoid.

You will know when to decide to get a nose job when the dimensions of your nose are affecting your mental well being.  No one can decide for you when to choose cosmetic surgery, as the procedure will alter your facial features permanently.  And, the strangest thing is that even if our facial features are the subject of ridicule in stories, we have deep seated resentments about those who ridicule what we were, after all, born with and didn't choose.

If a long nose or a flat nose or a nose with visible veins is keeping you from being the outgoing spontaneous person that you want to be, then that is the time to make plans to get a nose job.  Just as we treat our minds to mental health therapy and our aches and pains to medical and holistic treatments, we should avail ourselves of whatever treatment is out there to make us more comfortable with ourselves.

No one seems to mind a woman or a man using hair dye or wigs or body supplements.  All of those are ways of changing how we look to conform to what we want to look like and are willing to do to make it happen.  You should make plans to get a nose job when you have decided that you can physically alter your appearance surgically because you are worth the cost and the time to make yourself more beautiful.

As is usually the case, sometimes you may need a nose job for health reasons like a deviated septum.  There is no reason to live with such a deformity when the surgical procedure can correct it.  There is nothing simple about planning on a nose job, but if you are bothered by the size or shape of your nose, or if you have a medical deformity, you may have no other choice.

No one likes to be the center of attention whenever he enters a room because of some feature that is comical to unkind people.  If you think that people are making fun of you behind your back because of your nose, you should consult with a plastic surgeon and take a deep, hard look in the mirror.  There is no need to tell anyone but your immediate family if you do decide to get a nose job.  Sometimes the work that is done is so natural that you can simply say you never looked better.
