How To Find a Strapless Bra that Really Fits

You've found the perfect top, although it doesn't have straps. Do you have a strapless bra that fits well and can be worn with this cute top? Or must you leave your beloved top on the rack because you just don't have well-fitting undergarments? Ladies, it's time to spend some time getting your ‘girls' the proper support. If you're going to be wearing strapless tops or dresses this summer, then you absolutely must follow these tips on how to find a strapless bra that really fits.

Step 1

Start by getting measured. You may think you know your bra size, but are you sure? That is, have you ever been properly measured by a bra specialist? You need to know your exact bra size, especially when it comes to shopping for a strapless bra, because you must have a bra that fits correctly. You can visit a boutique to have a private fitting, or you can just ask the ladies at your favorite lingerie store to measure you. It will take 5 minutes, but it can help you to avoid much of the hassle of finding a bra that really fits your body well.

Step 2

Shop for bras in person. There's nothing worse than putting on a new bra you ordered only to find out that it doesn't fit properly. This is especially the case when it comes to strapless bras. And more often than not, bras can't be returned! Ladies, you just can't risk this one! You've got to be there, in person, when you're shopping for strapless bras. How will you know how your own breasts will look in it? Maybe you'll find that this particular fit isn't comfortable for you. Or maybe the grips that keep this strapless bra in place are annoying. You can't know these things until you try out a bra in person. So why pay for a strapless bra until you know that it really fits? Try it on, ladies!

Step 3

Choose a high-quality strapless bra. If you're going strapless with your bra, then you have to be assured that it will live up to its job. You can't just buy any old bra and expect it to keep your ‘girls' in place all day. You need to buy strapless bras that are made of high-quality materials from well-known brands. Choose a bra that has a good shape, and thick material. And whatever you do, stay away from seamless strapless bras. These just look wrong! It's worth the extra money to have a strapless bra that fits today and will last you several seasons.

Step 4

Make sure your strapless bra has rubber inside. Since your strapless bra doesn't have straps, it needs to use rubber to grip to your body and keep your bra in place. Rubber is a major component of a good strapless bra, and it's definitely something that can't be overlooked.  A perfectly fit strapless bra will have soft, comfortable rubber that runs along both the top and bottom seams of the bra. If the strapless bra you're interested in buying doesn't have rubber, or if it has insufficient or uncomfortable rubber, you can't be assured that it will really fit.
