Blackheads are unsightly blemishes that can be the bane of many young people’s existence. They are the mark of imperfection that can be a burden for most kids who value how they look in front of their peers. Lucky for them, there are countless home remedies for blackhead removal. Here are some of them:
Toothpaste. Use any regular toothpaste on your blackheads to dry the oil and lessen the swelling.
Orange paste. Take the peel of an orange and ground it. Mix this with a little water to make a paste. Apply this to the blackheads and leave it overnight. Rinse in the morning.
Lemon juice. Take a whole lemon and roll it around the kitchen counter before you slice it in half. Squeeze some juice out of one half and save the other. Apply the juice onto the blackheads and leave it overnight. Rinse the next day. Since lemon juice is very acidic, it will help remove oil around the area.
Salt water. Take a little salty water and apply it to your blackheads. The salt solution will dry the area of oil preventing more blackheads.
Ice cubes. Rubbing an ice cube over your blackheads for eight to ten minutes will force pores to tighten reducing the area in which oil can get in to and alleviate swelling.
Basil leaves. Use two to three teaspoons of dried basil leaves and let them sit in boiling water for twenty minutes. Let it cool then take cotton balls or swabs and dip into the water. Apply on the blackheads.
Egg white mixture. In a bowl, beat one egg white. Add a tablespoon of fresh honey and stir. Apply the mixture on your face for about half an hour. Do not fall asleep with this as you have to rinse afterwards with lukewarm water.
Radish paste. Take ground radish seeds and add a little water to it to make a paste. Leave on your face for half an hour then rinse it off. Do this once a week.
Nutmeg and milk. Make a nutmeg and milk mixture by grounding the nutmeg and mixing it with regular milk. Apply on blackheads and pimples.
Lime juice and milk. Boil regular milk and mix in fresh lime juice. Apply this solution on to the affected areas.
Pomegranate skin. Take roasted pomegranate skin and grind them. Make a paste by adding it to a little lime juice and apply this on blackheads and pimples.
Rose Water. Take a ball of cotton or cotton swabs and dip them in rose water. Use the cotton to wipe the water over your blackheads. Do this two to three times a day
