Getting rid of hair seems like an endless battle for women. Hair isn't attractive anywhere other than the head, so women will go to endless lengths to rid their bodies of the stuff, especially when they'll be baring their all in the nice weather. Here's what you can do to get rid of underarm hair this summer.
Step 1:

Shave it. One of the quickest ways to get rid of underarm hair is to shave it. Find yourself a sharp razor and drag it over your underarms a few times, in both directions. (Make sure your skin is wet or you'll have unsightly razor bumps for a few days). While shaving underarm hair is a quick way to get rid of it, it's the least permanent. Within a few days, you'll need to shave your underarms again. And in the summer, it will most likely be an everyday thing. If you want to keep looking your best, you might want to consider longer-lasting ways to get rid of underarm hair.

Step 2:

Wax it. If you don't mind a bit of pain, you can also try waxing to get rid of your underarm hair. You can do this yourself with either a cold or a hot wax. Or you can visit your local salon and get one of the beauticians to tear a strip off of you (literally!). This method of getting rid of underarm hair will last for a couple of weeks. But your underarm hair will inevitably grow back. And in order to wax underarm hair, it has to have a bit of length to it, so it might not be ideal if you want to be wearing tank tops, ladies.

Step 3:

Use a depilatory cream. Another effective way to get rid of the hair under your arms is to use a depilatory cream, such as Nair. It's as simple as spreading on the cream under your arm using the applicator tool, leaving it to sit for a few minutes, and then rinsing it away. Your underarm hair will just fall out and wash down the drain. The only negative aspect of this method is that you have to keep your arms from touching the sides of your body while this cream works its magic. And believe me, that's harder than it sounds, especially if you need to leave the cream untouched for 15 minutes. This method is often smelly and inconvenient, as you'll have to shower afterwards. But it will work to remove your underarm hair for a few weeks, at least.

Step 4:

Try laser hair removal or electrolysis. The most permanent ways to rid your underarms of unwanted hair is to get laser hair removal or electrolysis. Either method works to zap the hairs at the root, eventually killing the follicle. It's not instantly effective, so you'll need a few treatments. And at almost $100 a pop (or more), it can get pretty expensive. But, if you consider that you'll never need to get rid of underarm hair again once the treatment is effective, these permanent hair removal methods might be just what the doctor ordered.
