Imagine the glow of youthful skin without paying those outrageous spa prices!  Why not treat yourself to the luxury and relaxation of a Calendula-Orange Salt Glow made in your own kitchen?  There's not a better way to rejuvenate dry, wrinkled skin. Of all the salt scrubs available, the Calendula-Orange scrub has great benefits because of the natural healing power of the Calendula flower.  Dead Sea salts also offer relief to skin conditions such as Psoriasis and Eczema because of its high mineral content.  The Calendula flower along with the Dead Sea salts work in harmony to provide benefits too numerous to discuss here. In addition, the citrus aroma is enough to elevate you into ethereal heights while you relax in sensory sublime.

Here is what you will need:

  • Dead Sea salts
  • Calendula-infused almond essential oil
  • Roman Chamomile essential oil
  • Orange essential oil
  • Dried Calendula petals
  • Glass jar and lid
  • Measuring spoons
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Mixing spoon

Now that all of your ingredients and supplies are gathered:

  1. Combine 1 cup of the Dead Sea salts along with 1/4 cup of the Calendula-infused Almond oil in the mixing bowl.
  2. Stir together with the spoon.
  3. Add the remaining essential oils as follows to the salt mixture: 4 drops of Roman Chamomile oil and 16 drops of Orange oil.
  4. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Gently add the Calendula petals to the salt mixture.
  6. Spoon the finished salt glow into the glass jar and put the lid on.

Although making your Orange scrub is fairly simple, it is important that you do not substitute table salt for the Dead Sea salt.  The additives found in table salt may irritate the skin. Dead Sea salt is a natural ingredient with 21 minerals that benefit both internally as well as externally.  Also, when it comes to choosing the Dead Sea salts, be sure to avoid washed or processed salts as all valuable minerals have been stripped.  Next, depending upon the type of skin determines the size of the salt granule.  The finer granules works best for skin that has smaller pores and tends to be more sensitive.  The coarser salt can be used on normal skin with larger pores.  Either way, be careful not to rub the skin too hard causing abrasions. Remember the old adage about pouring salt in an open wound.  Enjoy your new found pleasure.  Keep your friends and family wondering.
