Tattoos and other forms of body art can be very pretty to look at. Many people, however, are afraid of committing their bodies to a single design. As an alternative, you can make temporary tattoos for yourself. Temporary tattoos will usually wash off after a bath, although some may last for several days or weeks. Here’s how:
- Choose the design. First of all, you need to choose a tattoo design that you are comfortable with. There are hundreds of tattoo designs available today, ranging from pictures of hearts with arrows, to tribal designs and everything else in between. You can even make your own tattoo design of you are artistic. Otherwise, you should simply choose a simple design that has already been made. Check online tattoo art collections for a comprehensive listing of various tattoos that you can have.
- Rub-on tattoos. Once you have a design, the next step is to choose the various options for transferring the design to your skin, temporarily. The cleanest and the easiest way are by using rub-on tattoos. Rub-on tattoos are basically pigments that are water soluble and which are activated with some water. These are usually in the form of strips that you place over your skin. You will then take a damp towel and use it to wet the strip. The design will then be transferred to your skin. The rub-on tattoos will usually wash off easily with some soap. There are some companies that sell the rub-on tattoos, while there are also others that allow you to design the tattoo, after which you can send the design to the company for printing.
- Henna tattoos. Another popular alternative is to use henna. Henna is a dark pigment that is traditionally used by Indians and Asians for decorating their bodies during festivities. Henna mixtures can be purchased in powder form. Once you have the henna powder, simply mix with a little bit of water and apply on the skin with a small paint brush. Make sure that you are not allergic to the henna, however. Some people get hives or rashes when henna is used on their skin. Also make sure that you choose only high quality henna cream. Cheap henna creams are usually diluted with other black pigments that will not stick to the skin as long as real henna does. Henna will usually last for several days or weeks.
- Jaguar tattoos. Finally, you should also consider getting jaguar tattoos. Jaguar is applied just like henna. The primary difference between henna and jaguar, however, is that jaguar is light at first. When you first apply the jaguar, you will see only a faint gray color on your skin. After it has cured for 24 hours, however, the jaguar will begin to turn to a dark black. Jaguar can last from 10 to 15 days.
With these steps, you should be able to add temporary tattoos to your body. The best thing about temporary tattoos is that you can replace them after the first tattoo has already faded.
