For most high school students one of the most memorable times of their high school career is attending the prom.  It's a time when kids get to celebrate with their friends, get dressed up, and go with that guy or girl who they really like.  One of the most important parts of the prom is getting the right thing to wear.  For guys they need to find the right tuxedo that they look good in and hopefully matches what their date is wearing as well.  This article is to help guys pick the right tuxedo to wear to prom. 

Step 1:

Decide whether to rent or buy.  There are two choices you are going to have when you go looking for a tuxedo for prom, and that is whether to rent or buy a tuxedo.  For most guys the prom is going to be the only time they wear the tux, but if you are going to need a tux down the road it might be best to buy it, otherwise it is most cost efficient to rent a tux for the prom.

Step 2:

Get fitted.  In order for the tuxedo to look just right for the special night you will want it to fit you properly.  Wherever you end up getting your tuxedo make sure they get all of your sizes and tell them any specific details you want done.  Having a tux that fits right can make you stand out among all of your other friends.

Step 3:

Pick your design.  After you have your measurements you will need to decide what style of tuxedo you are going to wear.  Many kids like to get something that goes with what their friends are wearing so they can all match somewhat.  That is a good idea, but you also want to look good.  Decide what you like best whether it be something more traditional or if you want to go with something different that stands out a little more.

Step 4:

Pick the right colors.  When picking the color scheme of your tuxedo you will want to consult with your date and see what colors she is going to have in her dress.  This may not be a guy's strongest suit, so you might want to ask for help from your date when deciding what colors your tuxedo will have in them. 

For most guys, it is going to be difficult picking a tuxedo, but hopefully this article helps with the process.
