When the hair follicles in your skin become plugged and those plugs get irritated or infected, the result is acne. Pimples form when sebum and dead skin cells are being produced faster than they can exit the pore. A pileup occurs when the sebum and the dead cells harden into a cheesy, white mass or plug. This article will show you ways to treat your acne.

Pimples. Ugh!! They sure can be a pain. Whether you're on a date, going to school, or just hanging out with friends, they can be so embarrassing and annoying! So what do we do?

Luckily, I have those answers for you! Below are easy steps that will take away those pimples or acne in no time.

Step 1:

Wash your face at night, and make a paste of 1 tbsp. white sugar and a couple of drops of water. Dab onto pimples and leave on overnight. Folk medicine followers believe that sugar has an antibacterial quality. In the morning, wash out remaining paste and you'll see that the redness and bump are gone!

Step 2:

Another recipe that you can do is mix 2 tbsp. baking soda with enough warm water to form a soft paste. Add a small amount of honey and mix well. Massage onto skin and leave on for 15 min. Rinse with cool water. Good for all skin types!

Step 3:

So you don't have time to make these recipes? Well I have some simple things you can do that will still treat your acne! First wash your face with a good face cleanser from your pharmacy or drugstore. Once your face is clean, you could consider dabbing the pimples with some of the face cleanser. Leave this on for an extended period of time, but be careful -- this can potentially dry out your skin.

Another simple thing you can do is wash your face and take a dab of WHITE toothpaste and put upon your zits. The bacteria is cleansed deep within the pore, allowing the zit to flatten and become very tiny.

Acne can make you cry if you let it get to you. Acne can also make you want to hide your face. DON'T. You have beatiful skin and YOU decide if you want acne to make your life worse. Remember, on really bad days it may help to have a certain phrase to lift your spirits, and not get you down. Here are some starters:

  • This too shall pass.
  • Beauty's only skin deep.
  • Life goes on.
