- Find the right face cleanser. First you want to make sure to use a face cleanser that is specific to your skin type, i.e. if you have dry skin, use a face cleanser that is specifically formulated for dry skin. Using the wrong face cleanser could be the reason for breakouts or oily skin.
- Apply the face cleanser using a circular motion. You want to apply the face cleanser to your face with your four fingers moving in a circular motion. Avoid the eyes. If you are wearing eye makeup, you can take off the eye makeup with baby oil or with a very mild soap.
- Remove face cleanser gently. After you have rubbed the face cleanser into your skin, use lukewarm water to remove the face cleanser. When you have completely taken off the face cleanser, rinse your skin, then take a dry face cloth and gently pat your face dry.
- Never forget moisturizer, no matter your skin type. Take a moisturizer and apply the moisturizer to your entire face using your fingers in a circular motion. Apply moisturizer to your neck as well.
- Follow these steps every time you wash your face. Once you begin to follow these steps regularly, you will notice your face becoming more smooth and your makeup going on more easily.
- Use moisturizer at nighttime, too. Just as you apply moisturizer in the daytime before applying makeup, you should apply a moisturizer at nighttime after washing off your makeup.
Don't wait any longer--start taking care of your skin today. You only have one face and it is up to you to make sure you look your very best. Washing your face correctly will get you off to a great start.
