For whatever reason, you are homeless all of a sudden. You have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. You pretty much don't have a choice but to live outdoors; without the comfort that you used to have with your bed and no roof to cover your head.
Everything is different now that you are homeless. You have to do whatever it takes to keep you going until it comes to the point that you are able to seek for help and assistance. But for the meanwhile, you will have to deal with being homeless.
Here are some tips that will help you go through all of it:
The first step that you have to take in order for you to move throughout all of it is accepting the reality that you are, indeed, homeless. At this point in time, you can't anymore change the reality that you are in right now. Regret will only lead you to become more depressed and will hinder you from doing what you need to do. It shouldn't be anymore your concern to decide whether or not it was your fault. You have to think carefully, act now and take your regrets off your consciousness because you will only have few choices to make.
Decide the things that you really need to keep you going. Consider the specific necessities that you have to have during the summer and winter season. If you have a limited resource of water, don't use it to keep you clean every single day. Avoid changing of clothes on a daily basis. If there are public rest rooms around you, use it to your advantage. Always carry with you a bag that will store all of your bare necessities.
The money you have will be limited. Therefore, use it sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. Never waste it for other things. In the event that you ran out of food, you can use your spare money to purchase cheap packaged foods in the grocery that will keep you throughout the day.
If you have things that you brought with you that are valuable money-wise but don't pretty much have any value with the condition you have right now, sell them at a pawnshop. Don't expect, however, that you will be sufficiently compensated for the things that you sold with money. Save the money that you got. You will need it and you will know what you need it for when the time comes.
Being homeless is a serious matter. You may not realize the impact of being homeless now but when it strikes you, but you will be suddenly awakened by the reality that just hit you hard to the ground. There may be a homeless shelter available in the local community near you but it's hard to get inside because it gets full a lot of times. It is apparent that you have a hard time doing things by yourself so seek help from the local community or from your relatives when you can.
Being homeless is definitely no joke. Right now we are enjoying our lives doing nothing and not working hard enough to keep us where we are but time will come when we become overwhelmed by a lot of things that we are not anymore able to keep up with it. While we have the privilege of not being homeless, do what it takes to elevate the kind of life you have right now. Always work hard, make the right decisions and save enough money so that we can face whatever comes in our way in the future.
