This is a recipe for a traditional Peruvian pisco sour. There are many variations of this cocktail. The instructions below will teach you how to make the most authentic and delicious pisco sour.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. pisco brandy
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice (or one half large lime squeezed)
- 1/4 oz. simple syrup (you may make your own with sugar and water- see "Quick Tips" below)
- 1/2 egg white
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters
- Half glass crushed ice
Directions:
- Add all ingredients, except bitters, into a mixing glass.
- Shake well for 15-20 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled Martini glass.
- Sprinkle bitters on top.
- Enjoy!
Quick Tips:
Simple Syrup is composed of nothing more than sugar and water. To make your own simply boil one part water and dissolve into it two parts sugar.
Pour your simple syrup into a squeezable container (such as a squeezable ketchup bottle) for quick and practical usage.
