Ingredients and supplies:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (half a stick) or 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- Fresh chopped flat leaf Italian parsley, for garnish
Melt the ingredients. In a saucepan, melt the butter or cream cheese and cream together over low heat. You can do this while the pasta is cooking, and the sauce will be ready by the time the pasta is done cooking. Be sure to keep it on low heat, or your sauce could curdle or burn.
