How To Make Cream Cheese Chili Dip

You know what your chips need? A reliable sauce to dip in. Sure, some chips are good on their own but sometimes it’s not really about the chips but the dip itself. Great dips can make or break parties, movies and sports events. If you plan on throwing get-togethers such as these, you need to be able to make a great dip, perfect for a party that is not all about a five course meal. Here is how to make cream cheese chili dip:

  • Simple recipe. Making a cream cheese chili dip can be as easy as you want it to be. If you wanted to, you wouldn’t even have to make the ingredients from scratch. Just buy all the ingredients from the store or grocery. Put them together and stick them in the over and presto, you have your dip. Just make sure that you properly thaw out everything first, before you stick it into the oven or else you might come up with something undercooked. Take your cream cheese out of the package, soften it up a little (take it out of your fridge and let it sit for a few minutes) and place it on the bottom of the bowl. Take your can of chili and pour its contents all over the cream cheese. Top it off with shredded cheddar cheese. Stick it into the oven and take it out once the cheese melts.
  • Easy as 1-2-3. Instead of using an oven or your stove to cook your cream cheese chili dip, you can also just use your microwave. Make sure to use a microwavable container or bowl and that it is wider than it is deeper. Set it on a high heat for about five minutes or until the shredded cheese has melted.
  • Starting from scratch. Want to start from scratch? No biggie. First, preheat your oven to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take 2 cans of refried beans and 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese (softened) and mix them together in a bowl. Pour this and spread it out in your baking dish. Now take 2 cans of chili and add this to the mixture. Next, add in a can of salsa. Add six whole green onions (minced). Finally, add in 8 ounces each of Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese and put it into the oven for about half an hour.
  • Serving suggestions. Chips are the main food that goes with dips and it is no different for this one. Grab a bag of your favorite brand and scoop out as much dip as you can per chip. This would also go great on top of some white rice. Mix them together for a delicious and filling meal. Leftovers can be easily stored in the refrigerator and just popped right back into the microwave or oven to be reheated.

Making a cream cheese chili dip is not at all difficult. If you do it the right way, your sauce might just become everyone’s favorite condiment, not just for snacks but even for meals.
