This recipe is so quick and easy I have made it in the morning to take to work as a treat and it goes quickly. If you like chocolate and peanut butter, you will not be able to eat just one. They taste a bit like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Gather your ingredients. They are:
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon milk
- 2 tablespoons creamy style peanut butter
- Waxed paper
Melt the butter in a small pan and remove from heat.
Stir in the cocoa powder well, then stir in the powdered sugar.
Add the milk and blend to a smooth consistency.
Add peanut butter and blend until well distributed.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Flatten tops sligjtly. This should result in small (about 1") "buttons". You may cool for a few minutes to help them set up. You are finished! Makes about 1 to 1-1/2 dozen depending on size.
When my grand-children are over, this is a simple way to keep them busy and I have been told by them that "this is the best treat ever". Can't get a better compliment than that!
