One of the most refreshing ways to start your day is by drinking a glass of freshly orange juice.
Soften the oranges. Before you start to cut the oranges, you will need to soften the oranges so they are easier to juice. You do this by taking a full orange and rolling it on the counter while applying a little pressure or by taking it in your hand and squeezing it to loosen up the inside of the orange.
Halve the oranges. Now take a knife and cut the oranges in half. The number of oranges you use will depend on how much orange juice you want. Normally a single 8-ounce glass will take about two oranges to make.
Squeeze oranges. Take your orange halves and squeeze them over a glass or pitcher. Continue to squeeze until no more juice is produced.
Pulp. If you would like extra pulp, take a spoon and scoop the fruit from the orange half into your glass or pitcher. If you don't want any pulp, after squeezing the oranges, run the juice through a strainer.
Enjoy. You now have some of the freshest orange juice you will ever get. Enjoy!
