How To Make Green Soup

Previously, soups were remembered only when someone were sick. When someone got in bed, soon came the suggestion to make a good soup.

Today, when the temperature gets cooler, soups enter the menu of the day. When prepared with the right ingredients, they can not only nourish, but help you lose weight. Slimming soups, such as Green Soup, are rich in fiber because their base is vegetables. The digestion is faster because the food is already processed. In addition, the fibers give the feeling of satiety so you do not need to eat much to feel satisfied.

On hot days, they can also be cooled, although they are more suitable for the cold days ahead. Nutritionists say there is no contraindication, no limit. You can eat soup every day. But the ideal is to choose recipes that do not promote weight gain.

Another advantage of soups is that you can prepare them and freeze the portions. At mealtimes, just get them out of the freezer and heat up. For modern women, who do not have time to cook on a daily basis, they are very practical!

Step 1

  • 750 g of peeled potatoes
  • 2 liters of water
  • 250 g of cabbage sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 tablespoons (soup) of olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Step 2

Place the water with salt in a saucepan. Add the potatoes and cook. When they are cooked mash them with a fork and put back into the broth. Let boil and add the cabbage leaves, onion and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook.

Before serving add the remaining olive oil.

Step 3

If you want to, you can add fried bacon, toast and grated cheese; although the soup would no longer be a "light" soup.

Another option is to put parsley over the soup when serving.

The next time you want a great tasting soup that is filling and healthy, make a batch of Green Soup.
